Building - Construction Cost
In Crete, for new houses we use a rough and ready 1500 euros per square metre guideline, for everything - design, building licence, construction, the finished product being a house ready to move into. Within this cost are elements for everything from the kitchen sink to the underfloor heating to the lemon tree in the front garden. Whilst it is a good guideline it cannot be completely relied upon as the design, location and finishes that you choose will affect the end price. Please feel free to use our Construction Calculator to obtain a more accurate estimate.
If we take a 100m2 house as an example the cost breakdown is approximately as follows:

| Design and Building Licence | 5600 euros |

| Concrete Base | 9000 euros | 6.0% |
| Steel Frame | 15000 euros | 10.0% |
| Walls and Roof | 18000 euros | 12.0% |
